Imogen has over 30 years’ experience in shipping and international trade disputes particularly specialising in commodity disputes.
For the last few years, Imogen has been acting in many disputes concerning the transportation of oil, particularly in cases where sanction issues arise, involving Libya, Syria and Iraq. Imogen’s practice is largely arbitration-based, and she has been involved in cases before LMAA, LCIA, FOSFA and GAFTA tribunals.

Imogen was called to the Bar of England & Wales in 1979 before qualifying as a solicitor in 1987. She was also a Partner at Lawrence Graham before she joined her colleagues, Mike Lax and Stuart Dench, at Lax & Co LLP in 2010.
